Key Information

Friday Night Event

The Friday event includes an hour of quaffing where all guests may sample wines from every attending winery. This is followed by a gourmet pairing meal that will consist of five courses. Please note the course descriptions that accompany each of the fields below. If you do not have a wine to pair with a certain course, please check the box next to that course and we will provide a wine for your table for that course.

Sweet Corn & Ramp Custard with pickled mustard seed, ramp oil, crispy prosciutto dust. Texture is silky & smooth, very light. Very friendly with whites.
Spring Garden Patch Salad: Little Gem lettuce cups & spring herbs, whipped chèvre, pickled radish, fresh peas, puffed wild rice, rye crumb, lemon-chive vinaigrette. Fork & knife salad with lots of crunch. Because of the chèvre, think acid forward or sweet.
Morel Mushroom Agnolotti in Light Chicken Consommé: Thyme, ramp chiffonade, aged parmesan. Course is very wine friendly and flexible. Richness of Consommé think brighter/vibrant reds. if you select a white, you'll want it to blanket the tongue.
Red Wine Braised Beef Short Rib (Pressed & Glazed): Spring onion soubise, glazed baby carrots, crispy potato pavé, cherry balsamic veal reduction. Note: we asked for less acidity in the reduction. Chef will remove balsamic but keep cherry. Wine should be prepared to have a lift from the acidity of the cherry reduction.
Rhubarb & Honey Cheesecake with oat crumble, poached rhubarb ribbons, vanilla bean crème fraiche. Very light; taste leaned toward honey (during tasting they didn't have the ribbons that may add tartness to the dish). Feel free to revisit any previous wines and do not worry about the perfect wine. If you have a dessert wine you want to share, please do so, but you are not required to do that. Guests have enjoyed tasting for several hours and may lean towards drinking something you have poured them earlier.

Saturday Night Event

VIP Tasting:

There will be around 100 VIPs on hand for one hour. Please bring one magnum or two bottles of tasting-room-only or older vintage wine to share with those who paid for VIP access.

Grand Tasting:

The Grand Tasting is two hours of wine tasting immediately following the one-hour VIP tasting, preceding the live auction. There will be approximately 500 guests for those two hours. We recommend a case of wine to pour. You may choose how many different wines make up that case. Please indicate how many bottles of each that you will bring.

Auction

The live auction will take place on Saturday night, and consists of the live auction items donated by the wineries. Those that do best are typically experiences such as dinners, tour and tasting at your winery, or stays at guest houses, accompanied by verticals or large formats of wine. Don’t hesitate to contact us with questions. Please describe your live auction item in detail as we will use this in publicizing your item and the event. For all lots please indicate the total value of the item(s). For certificates to tastings, tours, stays, please be sure to include expiration date and any restrictions like black out dates.
This is a favorite auction item each year in which each vintner signs a framed poster unique to the current year event and the winning bidder receives that poster with a bottle of wine from every attending vintner. One lot is auctioned off each night, Friday and Saturday.
Every year we operate a boutique on Saturday night, selling wine after the grand tasting for guests to enjoy with the steak dinner. Please tell us the name/varietal of the wine to be donated, the vintage, and how many bottles of each.
100% of these proceeds will go to charity.
If you would like to put together a small silent auction item, such as a bottle of wine in a wooden box, branded merchandise, etc. to help raise additional money for charity, please describe the item so that we can promote the item. Please include the value of the item. If it includes any certificates like a tasting, please include expiration date and any restrictions like blackout dates.
